SMALL GRANTS APPLICATION

 

MPI’s Small Grants Program:

              • Supports Rotary Clubs in malaria endemic regions to take direct action to control the spread of malaria in communities and reduce severe health outcomes.
              • Believes Rotarians are best poised to lead community-led projects that combat malaria at the household level.
              • Brings to life the vision of a world where every community has the resources to manage the spread of this devastating disease. Together, we will work toward a future where no one suffers from malaria, embodying Rotary’s ethos of Service Above Self.


Why we give small
grants:
 

  • To support Rotarians who are engaged in hands-on work to prevent malaria in their communities
  • To build capacity and leadership within Rotary clubs
  • To position Rotary as a trusted partner with NGOs, local government, health centers, and;

To reduce severe health outcomes from malaria and improve health outcomes for malaria


Requirements:

    • Applicants must apply on behalf of Rotary Clubs, Rotaract Clubs or a collaboration of Rotary Clubs (e.g., Rotary Malaria Coordinating Committee of Mali)
    • Applicant Club or collaboration of clubs must be willing to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Malaria Partners International
    • Applicant Club must be in good standing with Rotary International
    • Applicant Club or collaboration of clubs must create a separate bank account under the project or club name to manage grant funds

Project Description

Add relevant background data and information regarding malaria prevalence, available health services and community challenges.
These organizations may need to acknowledge the MOU governing the project. Write N/A if you will not be partnering with any non-Rotary organizations.
How will they benefit? How many direct beneficiaries will the project serve?
How will you reach them? Please estimate how many people within these communities may be exposed to your information and awareness campaigns.
Describe how the project will be publicized within your Rotary District, your community, and your region. (i.e. newsletters, media, social media, radio, etc.)
How will the impacts be sustained over time? Describe how these will be monitored over time.
How many Rotarians and Rotaractors will participate in the project’s implementation? How many Rotarians and Rotaractors will learn about the project through presentations and publicity?
