Malaria Seminar Summary
USAID-PMI Program Analyst form USA invited Rtn. Dr. Emma Bruce, Director of MPWA & Chairperson of Rotary District 9101 Subcommittee on Malaria to participate in this seminar to encourage more Rotarians to join the fight against malaria and to showcase what Rotarians have accomplished in the fight against malaria over the past years.

During Dr. Bruce’s presentation, she showcased the dynamics of MPWA and highlighting the achievements of the Rotary Malaria Committees in West Africa, thanks to the partnership of MPWA and sponsors – Malaria Partners International and RAM-GLOBAL.
Rotary International President, Jennifer Jones, her spouse and her team from RI, Rotary Zone 22 Director for All Africa and Senior Rotarians of Africa were all present during this seminar. “I had the privilege to make a joint presentation, with the USAID-PMI Representative from the USA, in the presence of the RI President Jennifer Jones, her team, and all Senior Rotarians in Africa to showcase the MPI-MPWA partnership in the fight against malaria in West Africa,” said Dr. Bruce.

Hailey Kieltyka (pictured above), Program Analyst USAID-PMI Contractor from the USA, gave a PowerPoint Presentation on the U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative’s role in the fight against malaria in Africa and its collaboration with Malaria Partners International Affiliates.
The presentation also allowed MPWA & MPZ Directors and PMI Representatives of Cote D’Ivoire.

Malaria Break-Out Session Summary
Pictured below is the Rotary Malaria Committee Break-out Session with representatives of USAID-PMI and MPZ Director Martha Lungu – Rotary Institute Cote D’Ivoire September 2022 – Organized by Rtn. Dr. Emma Bruce.
Dr. Bruce gave a presentation of the Action Plan for Rotary Malaria Committees and effective malaria prevention activities that Rotarians can carry out in their respective countries. Members of Rotary Malaria Committees of Rotary District 9101 and other Rotarians joined this malaria break-out session.
